Osaka Aikijuku was founded in 1994 with the kindness of Aikido dōshu, Moriteru Ueshiba sensei, and the support of many senior members. At the time of its establishment, the school began its practice on a 12-mat tatami mat in a corner of a training gym in Osaka City. In 1996, we moved our training location to Suita City, Osaka Prefecture, and now we have a dedicated aikido dojo in Esaka, where we practice 6 days a week. There is also an once a week training at the Suita Municipal Martial Arts Hall "Seishinkan", under the guidance of Hiroshi Suma sensei.
In addition, our instructors are conducting training in a few branch dojos in: Suminoe ward of Osaka (Emi Imaizumi sensei, 6th dan), Takarazuka City in Hyōgo Prefecture and Uji City in Kyoto Prefecture (Fumihiko Haga sensei, 6th dan).
Osaka Aikijuku’s students are free to participate in any of our dojos: the main dojo (Esaka Honbu Dojo), Senshinkan, and the branch dojos (Suminoe and Uji). However, for details on branch dojos, please contact the instructor of each dojo or visit their home page.
